  • •Traffic backs up around Rupp on busy nights -- it can take 20 minutes just to get into the lot. Plan to arrive 45 minutes to an hour early. If you get in quickly, you'll have time to grab a bite to eat nearby before the show.
  • •During major events, nearby businesses and organizations open their private lots for paid parking. One well-known option is the Lexington Rescue Mission at 535 W. Second Street, which charges for parking with proceeds supporting their mission. Look for attendants with signs as you drive in.
