These are the pumpkin patches near Lexington with what each farm charges and what you get for it, read off each farm's own site. U-pick apples ended at Evans, but Eckert's still has them, so check its crop page before you go. Only one farm, Devine's in Harrodsburg, puts a pumpkin in the ticket price, and Happy Jack's in Frankfort doesn't charge admission at all.

Evans Orchard and Cider Mill
Georgetown, about 25 minutes from downtown Lexington
An orchard and cider mill with a big play area, a barnyard and petting zoo, a corn maze reached by wagon, and a market and cafe with apple cider donuts and fried pies. The owner says it has the only pasteurizing cider facility in the area.

A pick-your-own orchard. A tractor wagon takes you out to the orchard and pumpkin field and back, with a playground, corn maze and animals at the farm.

Is a pumpkin included in admission?
Only at Devine's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Harrodsburg, where every paid admission includes a pumpkin of your choice from the patch. Bi-Water Farm says pumpkins are not included and are bought separately. At Eckert's in Versailles you pick your own in the field and pay by weight at the store. Happy Jack's in Frankfort has free admission and you pick your own pumpkin.
Which pumpkin patch near Lexington is cheapest?
Happy Jack's Pumpkin Farm in Frankfort has free admission. Among the farms that charge, Eckert's Field Access and Playground pass is $7 online Tuesday to Thursday, and Evans Orchard's weekday Play Area and Barnyard ticket is $10 online. Devine's is $14 for ages 13 and up and $12 for ages 3 to 12, and it is the one that includes a pumpkin.
Do I need to buy tickets ahead of time?
Not at Devine's, where walk-ins are welcome and advance tickets are not required. Evans Orchard and Eckert's both sell at the gate, but buying online is cheaper, $2 less at Evans and $5 less at Eckert's. Happy Jack's has free admission, though group visits need a reservation.
Can I still pick apples near Lexington this fall?
Yes, at Eckert's. U-pick apples ended at Evans Orchard after its Apple Festival Weekend, September 12 and 13, but Eckert's in Versailles still has them. Its crop page says pick-your-own apples and pumpkins are available now, so check it before you drive. Evans still sells fresh-picked apples in its market as varieties allow.
When do the pumpkin patches close?
Happy Jack's pumpkin season ends October 31. Evans Orchard and Devine's run through November 1. Bi-Water Farm and Eckert's have not published a closing date, so call before you go.
